Overview
Description
Georges Favre‑Jacot founded Zenith in Le Locle with the radical idea of housing all trades under one roof. Its El Primero (1969) was the first 5 Hz automatic chronograph and still beats today inside Chronomaster and Defy models. Zenith survived the quartz crisis thanks to hidden movement plans, joined LVMH in 1999, and now experiments with silicon escapements and 1/100‑second chronographs while restoring its historic pilot line.
